Information on the EU Packaging Regulation PPWR

TTM is following the regulatory developments relating to Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste and is preparing for the requirements generally applicable from 12 August 2026.

This information concerns the packaging used for the delivery of our products. The relevant packaging and packaging materials are predominantly sourced from external suppliers.

Only in certain individual cases does TTM assume the role of the manufacturer of packaging within the meaning of Article 3(1), point 13, of the PPWR. Whether TTM qualifies as the manufacturer depends on the packaging concerned, its manufacture and design, and the specific supply arrangement.

Where TTM qualifies as the manufacturer in an individual case, we fulfil the obligations arising from Article 15 PPWR. These include assessing the conformity of the packaging concerned, drawing up the required technical documentation and, where the legal requirements are met, preparing an EU declaration of conformity.

To prepare for and carry out these processes, we have requested our packaging suppliers to provide the information and documentation required under Article 16 PPWR. This includes information on material composition and any further evidence required to assess the relevant packaging.

The information provided by our suppliers is reviewed by TTM and, where required, incorporated into the technical documentation. A supplier’s confirmation supports the conformity assessment but does not replace TTM’s responsibility where TTM qualifies as the manufacturer of the packaging concerned.

The technical documentation and related conformity records are retained in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and are made available to the competent market surveillance authorities upon reasoned request.

The complete technical documentation is not intended for general disclosure to customers, distributors or other third parties. However, TTM provides its business partners with the information required to fulfil their respective legal due diligence and information obligations.

This information is provided to the best of our knowledge based on the legal and factual information available on the date of issue. It is intended solely for general information and does not constitute a legally binding representation, warranty, agreement on product characteristics or product-specific declaration of conformity. No rights or claims against TTM exceeding mandatory statutory requirements or obligations expressly agreed in writing may be derived from this document. Mandatory statutory obligations and liability provisions remain unaffected. TTM reserves the right to amend or supplement the information contained herein at any time in response to new legal requirements, official interpretations or technical findings.
